CHIP COOKIES
INGREDIENTS PROCEDURE
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda 01 PREHEAT oven to
1 teaspoon salt 375° F. COMBINE flour,
1 cup butter flavored shortening baking soda and salt in small
¾ cup granulated sugar bowl. Beat butter, granulated

1 large egg bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one
3 tablespoons of applesauce at a time, beating well after each
2 cups (12-oz. pkg) dark chocolate addition. Gradually beat in flour
morsels mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts.
Drop by rounded tablespoon
onto ungreased baking sheets.
02 BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes or until
PREP TIME golden brown. Cool on baking
sheets for 2 minutes; remove to
wire racks to cool completely.
