TERMINOLOGIES










                      •    Asynchronous Session - refers to a period when
                           students will do certain activities designed by the

                           teachers to support a topic discussed during a
                           synchronous session. This gives students the flexibility
                           to learn at their own pace while still adhering to

                           certain competencies of the topics discussed.



                      •    Learning Block - also refers to subject area or the
                           course taken by the student within a learning period.



                      •    Learning Model - refers to an approach or method
                           used in instructional delivery and learning process.



                      •    Lesson Modules - these are online instructional
                           materials / aids designed by the teachers that can be

                           accessed or downloaded during connectivity time.



                      •    Off-learning Periods – these are the periods or
                           breaks in between synchronous sessions.



                      •    Distance or Remote Learning - also known as online
                           learning, is a form of education in which the main

                           elements include physical separation of teachers and
                           students during instruction and the use of various
                           technologies         to    facilitate    student-teacher          and

                           student-student communication.
