We Love Our Volunteers!

            Volunteer Appreciation Events

t is often said that volunteers do not have the time, but
they have the heart to serve. That saying couldn't be more
true when describing the volunteers at Samaritas. We are
Iso fortunate to have people from all different backgrounds
come and serve those who are most vulnerable across the entire
state of Michigan. This year, we wanted to make sure they all
felt our gratitude by hosting Samaritas' first annual Volunteer
            Appreciation Events.

In West Michigan, New Holland Brewing Company Founder
and Samaritas Board member, Brett VanderKamp, welcomed
volunteers to an appreciation event hosted at the Knickerbocker
restaurant. Attendees were able to enjoy great food, drinks and We're always
catch up on everything happening with Samaritas. looking for new
                                                                                                            volunteers ready
The Knickerbocker proudly displayed a huge Samaritas banner and willing to join
in honor of the event and their dedicated support for the
            organization. our Samaritas family.

In Southeast Michigan, we hosted an appreciation event on Belle volunteer to start
Isle in Detroit. The weather appeared dire at first, but as more your ripple today!
            volunteers came, the sun rose.

Attendees gathered for a barbeque dinner, and then stayed to
hear fellowship and powerful mission messages from Samaritas
foster parents and one of our newly resettled Congolese refugee
families. The night ended with fun games, great conversations
and the ultimate selfie in front of the beautiful Scott Fountain!
We want to take this opportunity in Our Hands to give a BIG
thank you to all of our volunteers! Please continue to grow with
us, to serve with us, to live out our mission, and continue to
spread massive ripples of positive transformation.

               Building Communities

"SAMARITAS IS A GREAT PARTNER! THE WAY THAT THEY JUST JUMP IN TO HELP THE
MOST VULNERABLE IS SO IMPORTANT. IT MAKES THE COMMUNITY STRONGER AND
MAKES US ALL FEEL BETTER WHEN WE PARTICIPATE ALONGSIDE THEM"
~ BRETT VANDERKAMP, Founder of New Holland Brewing and Samaritas Foundation Director
