First Lady of Detroit Dr. Hassan Hosts Samaritas

at Iftar Dinner

On March 30, the First Lady, Dr. Sonia Hassan-Duggan,
and Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan hosted an Iftar Dinner at
their home. Kelli Dobner, Samaritas Chief Growth
Officer, and Liliana Masnytska, Samaritas New
Americans Supervisor, along with refugee families in
Samaritas’ care, were in attendance.

Samaritas.org/Youth-Art-Show was on display for
guests to see and read about each artist’s story and
journey to the U.S. These pieces will remain hung on the
walls of the Manoogian Mansion for Ramadan Mubarak.

Samaritas Team Gets a Leg

Up on Technology

The GoingPro Talent Fund is a Michigan Department of Labor and
Economic Opportunity (LEO)–Workforce Development program that
offers development and training to Michigan employees.

Through the GoingPro Talent Fund, Samaritas employees participated in
several classes to build essential skills and improve efficiency and overall
effectiveness in their service delivery and operations.

Together, these “Rockstars” earned significant portable, industry-leading
skills, including LEAN Six Sigma and Project Management quality process
tools, advanced information technology software platform certifications,
and Behavioral Health evidence-based counseling practices.
