FAITH CONNECTIONS
                               COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

Shepherd’s Gate Steps Up and Out
Samaritas case workers in Southeast Michigan will receive a Car Care Kit to help them provide supplies and comfort the youth in foster care that they
work with each day. An extra special touch was a handwritten note in each kit for a child and the Case Worker for encouragement. Supplies and
kits were provided to the Samaritas teams through Shepherd's Gate Step Out and Serve Mission Outreach and the Women's Bible Study members.

         Trinity Lutheran Church
Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids provides our refugee
families with quarterly deliveries of cleaning products, toiletries, and
household supplies. This generous congregation also provides
coats in the Fall, gift cards for gas for transportation to work and
medical appointments, as well as Christmas gifts for over 100
children in the Samaritas Affordable Living Community in Adrian for
         the last two years.

         Muslim Foster Care Association
         Samaritas Refugee Youth Services has
         enjoyed our collaboration with the
         Muslim Foster Care Association for
many years. Through them each Muslim
youth who arrives to our program
receives a welcome bag with items to
support their faith (the Holy Quran,
prayer rug and beads, and head
covering). We are grateful for their
support in welcoming the Muslim youth
         into our programs at Samaritas.
