this process, we were able to figure out which was more efficient between face-to-
face and non-face-to-face classes.
2-2. Quantitative Methods
We decided to conduct a survey of G10-G11 students in our school. We first
looked at the reasons why they preferred face-to-face or non-face-to-face classes
and which they preferred. We also asked if face-to-face or non-face-to-face classes
work more educationally. Therefore, we were able to organize the opinions of our
school G10-G11 students.
3. Results
3-1. Qualitative Methods
After watching the videotape that we took, we found out that most of us find
it hard to concentrate in zoom classes. In zoom classes, we found that we frequently
became distracted with our phones and other things unrelated to class. Some of
us kept checking our phones from time to time and slept without turning on the
camera. Compared to that, we found that we gained deeper understanding of the
lesson and better memory of lectures from face-to-face classes. Most of us took
notes of what we were learning and listened to the teacher attentively. This proved
that concentrating is easier in face-to-face classes.
We also took a look at the papers that we wrote down after each of the two
classes. The result was as expected; we filled up most of the paper after face-to-
face classes but couldn’t fill it up after online classes. We all agreed that the lectures
through non-face-to-face classes are unmemorable. Unless we reviewed what we
learned from class, it was hard to have a beneficial lesson.
3-2. Quantitative Methods
16 students reported to the online survey and they are SKIS students.
