‘Pandemic’ against COVID-19, which is the third time, after the Hong Kong flu and

the swine flu on March 11.

A virologist Professor Jonathan Ball of Nottingham University said, “A Covid-19

infection is generally mild, and that really is the secret of the virus’s success, many

people don’t even notice that they have got an infection and they go and live their

daily routine. The reason for COVID-19’s widespread infection around the world is

that it is not very fatal. It does not make people sick enough to go get a diagnosis

early or going outside impossible. In addition, some people are observed to be

asymptomatic, so epidemiologists estimate that there will be more people who

have COVID-19 and just live their daily lives. This is why the COVID-19 is spreading

over the world rapidly. Thus, if the diagnostic test for COVID-19 was done early

and accurately, the transmission of the virus may be much lower than now. The

route of transmission of the Covid-19 is through saliva drops from the infected

people going into the respiratory tract or mucous membranes of the eyes, nose

and mouth. If someone is infected, the symptoms start to appear after 2 to 14 days

of incubation period. The main symptoms are fever, respiratory symptoms and

pneumonia, but there are also asymptomatic infections rarely.

As the virus spreads rapidly, it is causing a huge impact on our society. The total

COVID-19 cases is about 7,000,000 and the total deaths is about 400,000. The

COVID-19 is affecting 213 countries and territories around the world. The typical

symptom of COVID-19 is infection. Most patients have high fever, fatigue, diarrhea,

and red eyes. In our body, immune cells work to kill infected cells that cause

symptoms. Then, when immune cells become excessive, the side effect called

‘cytokine storm’ appears. So, if a virus comes into the human body, cytokine, an

immune cell, can also attack our normal cells and this process harms our bodies.

The first place to be damaged by COVID-19 is the lungs. When lungs are infected,

blood oxygen will decrease, and affect the other organs. As a result, problems will

appear all over our bodies and lead humans to death. It is said that caution is

needed as there is a possibility that after effects may remain for life after complete
