E.g., I buy groceries more often than I did before the crisis, Rate on a scale from 1
(not true at all) to 10 (very real).
Through our survey, we were noticed that the behavior, stockpiling, might be
emotionally influencing those who take our survey because it is a question that can
evoke panic. We had been alerted that our questions have to be more flexible and
slightly less straightforward so that those who receive the survey would be less
affected. Moreover, we asked more detailed questions that would help us recognize
the reason behind the action.
This survey would be sent out to other students and those who live in Singapore
and Korea. We believe each country is currently laid in different situations. Hence,
we would be sending our survey to them to analyze different behavioral patterns
in each country.
3. Results
Our group has surveyed in order to find out people’s thoughts about the
COVID-19 case. Since we wished to survey people living in various places, we parted
the survey to Singaporeans, Korean, and other global countries.
First, our group asked, ‘How anxious I am about the COVID-19 crisis?’. For this
question, among the Singaporeans, 3.7% answered as very anxious, 11.1% as not
anxious at all, and 85.2% as slightly anxious to quite anxious. Among Koreans, 20.8%
answered as very anxious, 4.2% as not anxious at all, and the other 75% as slightly
anxious to quite anxious. Furthermore, among other global countries, 14.3%
answered as very anxious, 0% as not anxious at all, and 85.7% as slightly anxious
to quite anxious.
