of Wymondham, playing with Hempnall’s Jon
Sparham, lifted the Norfolk County Mixed
Fours Championship title at Lakeside.
A dramatic final went into an extra end
against Maureen Munford, Elaine Oatway,
George Munford and Bob Oatway of First
Bus before Sparham triumphed. With the
scores tied at 5-5 after seven ends, and with
Sparham's rink holding one shot on the extra
end against his Norfolk Premier fours team
mate, Bob Oatway had last wood but unfor-
tunately missed the target and left Sparham’s
rink celebrating.

Jon Sparham & Debbie Barrett
For Debbie & Jack Barrett and Debbie Phillips
this was their first mixed fours success while Jon
Sparham had won it previously in 2009/10 and
2010/11. That was the year that Sparham, Jean
Woods, Jenny Walker and David Lamb went on to
claim national glory as well.
The Wymondham and Hempnall four will be
dreaming that it becomes reality next March as well.
In the semi-finals John Sparham's rink breezed to an
8-1 victory over half of last year’s champions Keith
Cooke and Josh Baxter while Oatway's four over-
came last year’s runner-up David Lamb in a tight con- Runner's up - Bob Oatway & Elaine
