title and continue Mid Ulster and Cookstown's domination of the competition.
However, on the day it was St Mark's Portadown who proved themselves worthy winners.
Parochial came back from near defeat in the qualifying rounds turning round 9 and 11 shot deficits
with just 2 ends to go in both the semi-final and final, whilst St Mary's had a more comfortable run
           to finals day.
                 In their semi-final St Mark's
           proved too strong for Benevarden,
           beating them 26 - 18, whilst
           Parochial had a comfortable 32 -
22 win over Redeemer from Oriel.
                 The final was keenly con-
tested with little separating the two
           teams. There are occasions when
games turn with just a single bowl.

Parochial bowls and lay 3 himself, an 8 shots turnaround. 2 ends later he converted a 3 against
into a shot for St Marks. Parochial skip D McElroy had a
chance to take out a bowl to lie a possible 6 though it would
probably have been a comfortable draw for Gary Culbert.
The Parochial skip instead went for the jack to guar-

closely contested for the first 5 ends before Spa pulled away
