The ISCA Centre played host to the National Over 55’s with the
24
winner guaranteed a spot in the National Over 55 finals next year.
After the round robin and several knock out stages the final was
contested between last year’s winners Graham James and Lorraine
Axtell and Hilary Iley and Robert Ivings from Exeter Nomads. After a
tight start to the match Robert and Hilary eventually won through and
secured their spot in the Nationals.
On the same day the County/National Under 18’s was held with
Chloe Rundle, Sean Woodley, Ava Cattell (Christow) and Adam Perris
(Wonford) with them all competing initially in a round robin. After the
round robin the top two were Adam and Sean and these contested in
a final. After an exciting game which could have gone either way Sean came through winning it
on the final end.
