The Tang Dynasty produced a galaxy
of calligraphers of whom the most
influential was Yan Zhenqing , who

won fame for his zheng kai (regular
script) which was marked by
elegance and magesty - a new style
considered by later generations as
the orthodox school in Chinese
calligraphy.
