The Alley Dawgs began harassing him and barked “Where’d you get that shiny dog collar? Bet that’s worth a lot of bones!”
As they moved closer they snatched his shiny new dog collar that Big Dogg had just bought him. Then they roughed him up and ran away.
Pup was dirty, bruised, and his new dog collar was gone.
Now he had to face Big Dogg and confess that he disobeyed him and had gone to play with the Alley Dawgs.
Big Dogg was upset with Pup because he understood the danger Pup had put himself in. Big Dogg cared for Pup Dogg so he had to put him in check. No dogg treats for 2 days, and he had to do chores for two weeks and buy himself a new dog collar.
