1. Statistics on Number of Individuals Assisted and Type of Assistance

• 133 individuals* assisted in March, April and May 2021

Type of assistance:

• 103 - ongoing case management
• 6 - Information given about services and/or community resources
• 5 referred for individual therapy
• 18 - referred for an evaluation
• 1- referred for treatment
• 0 - referred straight to monitoring

Approximately 14 of these cases are straight Mental Health cases, 105 are comorbid
(include both Mental Health and Substance Use components) and 14 are pending.

* = Overall numbers are lower due to COVID-19 pandemic.

2. Speaking Engagements of JLAP Staff Members and Associated Costs

• Jennifer Gros presented via Webinar for the Baton Rouge Bar Association in May 2021.

• Dr. Angela White-Bazile presented via Webinar for the LSBA’s Bridging the Gap CLE in
May 2021.

• Dr. Angela White-Bazile presented at the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office Staff
Day CLE in May 2021. Expenses: $34.12 mileage/toll.

3. Out-of-State Travel by JLAP Staff Members and Associated Costs

• No out of state travel this quarter.

4. Programs and/or Events Sponsored by JLAP

• Jessica Duplantis testified via phone at a hearing for the Mississippi Board of Bar
Admissions in February 2021.
