                              Re: Transition Into Practice Program.

               Dear Minor:

As Chair of the Committee on the Profession which oversees the Transition Into Practice
program, I am very pleased to provide you with this report detailing the outcome of the
mandatory mentoring program ordered by the Supreme Court on July 22, 2020. There were a
total of 425 mentees participating in the Transition Into Practice program as Qualified
Candidates. That number was reduced for one mentee who has moved to Tennessee and
requested inactive status and for another mentee who has been afforded until July 30, 2022, to
complete the program per Supreme Court Order.

Of the remaining 423 mentees, there is only one who did not complete the program as of
this date. Accordingly, the 422 participants generated a success rate of 99.76%. There was an
extreme amount of work undertaken by several individuals at the Bar and it is clear that without
their outstanding and dedicated efforts this program would not have achieved these results. As
you know, Cheri is the liaison to the Committee on the Profession and oversaw this entire
project. Brooke worked tirelessly to implement and maintain the program throughout, often
working directly with both mentors and mentees to ensure this outcome. Both Billy and Eric
assisted throughout. All of their efforts are commendable.

I know that the Supreme Court is considering the resolution from the Board of Governors
to maintain the program’s mandatory status and the accomplishments of this year show that the
Bar Association can certainly handle this program. This information will be internally submitted
from the Bar Association to the Supreme Court but I wanted to make sure you are aware of this
particularly as such may assist in future communication with the Court.
