Bono Week October 26-31, 2020.
Developed CLE to recruit volunteers for the Reentry
Legal Clinic to remove legal barriers formerly
incarcerated people face
Foster law student engagement in civil legal aid;
Coordinate ATJ Developing Leadership Intern Program
Developed a calendar for the implementation of the
2020 ATJ Developing Leadership Intern Program which
will begin on Monday, May 11 and run until Friday,

June 19 . Adams and Reese, L.L.P.; Baker, Donelson,

Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, P.C.; Entergy, L.L.C.;
and Phelps Dunbar, L.L.P; return as sponsors for the
program.
Due to the pandemic this year’s program was held
virtually, with interns completing projects for the various
participating civil legal aid programs. This year interns
spent time with Judge Woodruff-White of the Family
Court of East Baton Rouge, Lagniappe Law Lab,
Louisiana Appleseed, Southeast LA Legal Services, The
Pro Bono Project of New Orleans, and The Parole
Project.
The 2021 ATJ Internship Program is set in motion with
two sponsoring organizations and schools; the program
did lose two sponsors for 2021. The working group is set
to meet and develop a strategy to return the 2022
program to all four Louisiana law schools.
Participate in LSU Apprenticeship Week
The ATJ program participated for the first time in the 2019 LSU
Apprenticeship week with a course titled Serving the Public and
the Profession. We plan to participate again in January 2020.
The ATJ Staff will conduct a course for the LSU Apprentice
week. (Jan 6-10, 2020)
Due to COVID-19, LSU Apprenticeship Week 2020 has been
cancelled.
