In an effort to further strengthen
efforts to foster diversity, equity
and inclusion, Warner Norcross
+ Judd LLP has signed on as a
Mansfield™ participant for 2023-
24. The goal of Mansfield is to
increase inclusivity and diversity in
law firm leadership by broadening
who is considered for influential
leadership committees, roles
and opportunities. The program
works with law firms to track and
evaluate appointments, elections,
promotions and other critical
activities that impact the pipeline
of diverse candidates
Ingham Intermediate School
District has officially cut the ribbon
and opened the brand-new North
Star School on its campus in Mason.
This project will serve students
with special needs by combining
the programs formerly known as
Secondary Learning Center and
Evergreen into the North Star School.
The North Star School project was
made possible through a Headlee
Restoration Millage which was
passed by voters on March 10, 2020. event at Jackson Field after a
Soccer Kickers is now offering a
new fundamental development
Soccer Kickers program for Level
1 and Level 2. For children already
experienced, there is also a new
competitive program (Academy).

On top of these new programs,
there are also private lessons offered.
Soccer Kickers accepts children from
2-12 years old. Classes are taught by
a former professional soccer player

High Caliber Karting &
Entertainment’s popular car
show, the Meridian Motorfest,
returned to the local entertainment
facility the Sunday of Labor Day
weekend. General registration,
class registrations, sponsorships,
and more helped raise donations
for Lansing non-profit Ele’s
Place. As a part of the marketing
campaign Being High Caliber in
the Community, High Caliber took
time to focus on another Lansing-
based business, non-profit, or event
and shared the spotlight with them,
and for August and September.
High Caliber focused on Ele’s Place.
LAFCU hosted a fun and interactive
recent Lansing Lugnuts game
to kick off its new youth savings
program, ‘Laff-e & Friends.’ LAFCU’s
mascot, Laff-e the Cow, now has
friends Patty the Chicken, Pig
E. the Pig, Bucky the Horse, and
Rascal the Rat, to help teach kids
in Michigan all about savings and
financial education. In celebration
of the Michigan credit union’s new
initiative, any new account opened
for up to age 11 between now
and Aug. 12 will be automatically
entered into a drawing for a chance
at $200.

its Saturday Sports Injury Clinic
for convenient treatment of those
bumps and bruises and more
serious issues that come with
sports. The experienced Sparrow
Medical Group (SMG) Orthopedics
and Sports Medicine team of
providers and athletic trainers staff
the clinic, is opened Saturdays from
8-11 a.m. and will remain open every
Saturday through May (excluding
major holiday weekends). l
