Dear Parents
As we approach half-term, I am writing to update you on some of the developments in the school in my usual eclectic fashion.
Academic successes
Extended Project Qualification
A distinction is awarded at Malvern for exceptional and substantial work in the academic sphere and Dan Brierley is the first recipient for 2018-19. Dan conducted an investigation for his Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) into the extent to which state schools have failed to promote cricket and the impact of this on participation more widely within the country. An EPQ requires a detailed analysis of a particular theme, reflection on it and a presentation of the findings. There are important criteria which need to be followed and it ultimately may count for half of an A level in terms of UCAS points.
