To conclude the concert Mr Glazebrook awarded us our official plaque stating that we are now an All-Steinway School – it is fantastic to be officially recognised as as such Having toured around the Steinway factory in in in Hamburg two years ago at the start of our our journey it was an absolute joy to be involved in in in in this trip culminating in in in in the award of our prestigious plaque Our 28 new Steinway pianos have already had a a a a a a a a huge impact on the standard and and and enjoyment of music at the College and and and I can only see this continuing for for many years to come I feel extremely fortunate to have been a a a a a a very small part of this journey and my thanks go to to Mr Mr Brown for orchestrating the project and to to Mr Mr McDade for accompanying us us to to London Our thanks must also go to to Mr Glazebrook and and Steinway and and Sons for their hospitality Louisa Marsden-Smedley (Upper Sixth No 6)
Spring Concert
Two other events dominated the the the the musical horizon in in in the the the the last week of of term Firstly the the the the Spring Concert
on on on on 18 March Many of of our traditional ensembles ensembles were were showcased but so so too were were some smaller and relatively new ensembles ensembles that have been introduced into the Music programme this year – and to to great effect It was also lovely that we we we were able to to welcome back Nalni Chen (OM) who performed 2 pieces on the piano THE MALVERNIAN
