Tatler - ‘Best Prep School’
You may have seen on on our social media pages that we are one of 5 prep schools in in in the the country chosen by Tatler to be in in in the the running to win their ‘Best Prep School’
award Each year about 350 schools put themselves forward to to be included in in Tatler’s annual guide to to the the best independent schools in in in in the the country and so being included in this guide at all is is an achievement To have been selected as one of the the top 5 prep schools in the the country is fantastic and we are very proud of this achievement We know what a a a a a special place Abberley Hall is bit it’s nice to to have broader recognition too! We keep a a a detailed record of which senior schools our pupils are considering moving on on to after Abberley Where appropriate we log deadlines for applications references and assessments If parents have had any further thoughts about senior school choices then please do let us know so that we can update our records As ever parents are are welcome to speak with me me about senior schools and appointments can be made through the School Office We will be sending parents of children in in Years 5 and above a a a a a a detailed Senior Schools

Forms and Sets
Shortlisted for Best Prep School Parents were written to at at the the end of the the summer term with information about classes and sets for the the new academic year If there are any queries about these groups then please contact Vanessa Beer on vanessa beer@abberleyhall co uk Please note that these arrangements are not set in stone As we go through the term and can see how how children are are performing and how how hard they are are working we will will continue to review and we will will inevitable ‘shuffle things around’ as the year goes by iPads
I wrote to the parents of children who will be in Years 6 and 7 from this September about the the introduction of iPads
in in these year groups and these parents should have received a a a comprehensive set of FAQs which we hope have have proved to to be informative I was delighted to to have have received so many supportive messages from parents and I do hope you you have been able to get hold of iPads
for your children We have had smart new iPad storage units fitted and these will allow children to lock their their device away securely in in their their own individual lockers whilst being being charged New interactive screens are being being fitted in in every classroom in in the Prep school and our new super-fast broadband has now been fully installed so we are all all set and and ready to embrace the the introduction of mobile technology in in the the classroom I am sure that pupils staff and parents will need to spend time getting used to the the new devices and that there will be inevitable teething problems but I have no doubt that this move will be a a a hugely positive one If parents have any queries about iPads
