Evening Activities
are a a a key part of life for our Prep school children particularly our boarders We have an an exciting range of options for children to choose from each evening and Mr Richardson will be sending out a a a comprehensive programme before the start of term If you have any queries regarding Evening Activities

Riding
Riding
with Mrs Pickard was very popular last term and we are looking forward to the the continuation of this exciting activity during the the Autumn term We assume that those who had riding lessons in in the summer will be continuing If there are any children who did not have riding lessons last term and who would like to start then please email the the School Office on on office@abberleyhall co uk
Consent forms will then be be sent sent and lessons can be arranged Please note that places are limited!
New Bus Route
We have a a a a new bus bus route ready to go As well as our bus bus service from The Hop Pocket south of Bromyard we will now also be running one to Bridgenorth via Cleobury Mortimer A document has been sent out with route maps times and prices If you would like this document to be sent again then please just ask the the School Office If you would like your child to use the the bus service then please do make sure we are aware by emailing us on office@abberleyhall co uk

Rupert Tapper
We had to to say goodbye to to Mr Tapper
at the end of last term who did a a a a fantastic job of covering for Mrs Dobson-Morris whilst she was away on on maternity leave Mrs DM is now back and will continue where she left off as as Head Head of of of Classics and and Head Head of of of Teaching and and Learning Welcome back!
Clare Eynon
Clare is now off on on maternity leave with intentions of of returning in in in January Her Drama lessons will be covered for the term by Georgina Cooper who is is an extremely accomplished performer Georgina Georgina will be ably supported by Mr Mr Dunham and Mrs Austen Her sports coaching will be covered by Charlotte Keyser who some parents will know as a a a a a a coach at Stourport Hockey Club Having also worked as Director of Sport at a a a a well-known prep school in Dorset Charlotte will bring a a a a a a great deal to to sport at at Abberley and we look forward to to welcoming her on on board Clare’s LAMDA lessons will be covered by Claire Darby who who already works with us and who who has a a a a a a a a huge amount of experience in this field Georgi Raven
Georgi was with us as as as a a a a a a part-time TA for a a a a a a short while last term and we we wish her her her well as she embarks upon her her her teacher training course this Autumn Pre-Prep TAs
Our wonderful Reception TA Laura Groves has moved on on on on on and she will be replaced by Holly Dayson I am am pleased that Karon Jamous will will be be staying with us as a a a TA but she will will be be moving from the Pre- prep to Year 4
and we are delighted that Charlotte Bullock will be replacing her as TA for Key Stage 1 Emma Mabbott
I am also delighted to to welcome Emma to to Abberley as a a a a a full-time Resident Matron Emma has a a a a a a a a a wealth of experience as as a a a a a a a a a matron and we we have no doubt that she will be a a a a a superb addition to the team Welcome!
Gap Assistants
We were sad at the end of last term to to say goodbye to to our wonderful Gap Gap Assistants
but we we are delighted to be welcoming six new Gaps this term – Amelia Catherine Georgina Harry Max and Oliver I am sure that that they they will will find their feet very soon and that that they they will will prove to be as as as brilliant as as as the last bunch!
Mr Mr and Mrs BT – Adoption
I am delighted to share with the the Abberley community the the exciting news that Mr Mr and Mrs Bennett-Tomlin hope soon to be adopting siblings It has been a a a a a complicated and frustrating process for them and they still do not have a a a a a precise timescale but the the expectation is is that they will start their family in late October or early November
We send them our very best wishes and I am sure you will all join with me in in in congratulating them They will be amazing parents!
When the time comes and Emma needs to take maternity leave we have a a a a very experienced Director of Sport William Turpin waiting in in in the the wings ready ready to to to ‘hold the the fort’ until Emma is ready ready to to to return to to to us Dates for your diaries
