A Level Revision Course
On the 19 we we went on on a a a trip to to to Bristol for a a a Tutor2u Revision Grade Booster seminar seminar The seminar seminar focused on exam techniques and provided practice for our upcoming papers The day was both entertaining and and helpful as as it it was interactive and and engaging with the the presenters posing a a a range of quick response questions at the the student student audience It was great to see some of our students getting some Tutor2u merchandise for the the quality of the the answers we we offered over the the course of of the the day The seminars helped us prepare for our exams by teaching us new ways to approach questions and further insight into how the the papers are marked by examiners which will allow us to be more time efficient and effective in our answers Therefore helping boost our our grades so the course really did meet its objectives! Our thanks go to Mr Mr Hutsby Mr Mr Tucker and Mrs Eglin for organising the trip Mwangi Mungai (Upper Sixth SH)
Upper Sixth Economists On Sunday 30 April 50 A A Level students sat a a a a a a trial examination in in Big School for Economics or or Business The Upper Sixth Economists as as well as as honing their examination skills and time management focused on the the the issues facing the the the UK housing market and whether or or not the government should intervene to make housing more affordable The Business students got the opportunity of using their their holistic knowledge of their their A Level course to focus on the the the UK car industry such as as looking at at how to increase motivation and productivity at Nissan’s Sunderland car manufacturing plant Upper Sixth IB Business Management At the the start of this term the the Upper Sixth IB Business Management students had their Internal Assessments sent off to the the IB for external moderation As with previous years the the quality of their written work and and recommendations was excellent and and the work allowed our students to showcase their critical thinking and decision making by carefully selecting relevant Tools Techniques and Theory from the Business Management specification This year the real businesses that students linked up with provided them with a a a a challenge issue or decision they had to assess These included an upmarket lifestyle magazine considering entering new overseas markets the the impact on a a a a a a manufacturing business of the the ban of Spanish goods in Algeria as as well as as how to overcome the difficulties of of recruitment and retention of of high skilled IT workers The Business Management team are looking forward to launching the brand new Internal Assessment for our Lower Sixth cohort later this term but with a a a new new focus given the new new specification requirements Adam Hutsby | Head of Economics Politics & Business Assistant Head Sixth Form
