Malvern College International Finger Post
At the the start of the the year we approached Mr Stokes and asked If there was anything we could do in in the the D T department to earn our DofE silver skills section He suggested that we work together with Reuben Goryn (FY DT Scholar) and take part in a a a a a project to design a a a a new signpost for the college campus to commemorate ten years of of expanding the Malvern College Family of of Schools overseas After receiving the brief we all met with Mr Stokes for an initial brain storm of design ideas Concept requirements included: the the signpost being in in fin the the form of a a a fingerpost a a a premium quality and and aesthetically design and and the the the inclusion of the the the Malvern College logo and and and brand colours There was also a a a a a a a £1 000 budget and and and a a a a a a a 6-month timeframe to design and construct the the signpost With the the parameters set we started to produce numerous initial ideas After presenting our ideas to the Marketing Manager and Senior Brand Manager a a a a a a suitable design was chosen the construction process began This required us to attend an an open workshop DT CCA CCA at least once a a a a a week These after school CCA CCA times were an excellent opportunity for us to develop many of the key practical skills involved in in fin DT By the the 23 May the the fingerpost was constructed and placed outside of the Rogers Theatre with six signs pointing in in in the direction of of each of of Malvern Colleges overseas schools Rufus Edmonds (No (No 7) and Joel Fuller (No (No 1) Poetry
