The SAMBA II
Malvern College has has purchased its own rapid Covid-19 testing machine The SAMBA II
device gives results in in in 90 minutes and and it will enable us to test pupils and and staff on
the school campus It has been developed by a a a spin-out company of of the University of of Cambridge and it it is being used at hospitals around the UK As such it represents a a considerable investment by the College in our response to Covid-19 It can test for both coronavirus and and influenza and and so will enable us us to respond rapidly and it should greatly reduce the impact of the the pandemic on
the the school community Our College Doctor and Medical Centre will continue to liaise closely with Public Health England and and the National Health Service to to monitor any suspected cases and to respond appropriately SAMBA II
