The First Weekend Fair
Ensuring the new School Term gets off to a a a a flying start and because we couldn’t run any House Trips this year the fun came to us in the shape of a a a a fun fair on the Court Road pitches There was a a a bouncy castle crazy golf axe throwing a a a a a a a a Giant Jenga a a a a a a a a Rodeo and a a a a a a a a gladiator- style arena with a a a a a huge inflatable slide and and obstacle course There were stands selling hot dogs ice-cream and and candy floss and thankfully the the weather was sunny and warm Outdoor Pursuits
The weekend is the time for those pupils who are adventurous love being outdoors and unafraid to try mountain biking horse riding kayaking scuba diving rock climbing abseiling to to get out into the countryside and have fun The countryside is the the pupils’ playground and the the College has rivers forests and and and woodland hills and and and mountains practically on its
doorstep and under the direction of of Head of of Outdoor Pursuits
Mr Jay Watts the group take on many challenges In 2019 the challenge was Malvern to Paris by human power in 2021 it is The UK Coast Coast to Coast Coast Challenge which will see the the group cover 1000km from the the West Coast Coast of of Northern Ireland to the the East Coast Coast of of Scotland by river and and and sea and and and over mountains and and and roads using bicycles a a a a super-size stand up up paddle board hiking and racing 8
