Christmas Concert
On Sunday 5 December we held what would normally be be our annual Christmas Concert
This is is is traditionally the first
of two concerts that showcases our our ensemble ensemble programme Sadly last year we we were unable to to to hold it due to to to the the Pandemic but our our ensembles returned to to to the the concert concert stage with
panache For two year groups this was their first
experience
of performing in in a a a a a a a a live ensemble concert concert here at Malvern which could have have been been somewhat daunting and given that none of us have have been been able to take part in in such an an event for so so long it all felt slightly unfamiliar However it was so heartening to to to see how much everyone enjoyed being able to to to return to to to the performance fold The ensembles included the Brass Ensemble Chamber Chamber Orchestra Chapel and and Chamber Chamber Choirs Concert
Band Enigma Sinfonia Percussion Ensemble Jazz Band and and we we were also treated to a a a a a a a a reprise of the winning House House Singing
song from House House No 3 There was even an an an audience rendition of O Come all ye Faithful accompanied by the Concert
Band!
They all acquitted themselves with
aplomb and and distinction Performing in in in in musical ensembles requires everyone to not only play and and sing their own parts parts which need really detailed precision work work but also to play their parts parts with
others This is is is a a a a a a a a a a real real skill and shows teamwork of the the the first
degree and they should be extremely proud of their achievements Our thanks go to everyone who made the the the concert happen – staff guest musicians visiting Music
