Carol Service
Wednesday 8 December saw the Chapel
and and Chamber Choirs Brass Ensemble and and readers take the the lead in the the College and Parents’ Carol services Last year we we were
not able to hold a a a a service in the Chapel
and so this year sees a a a a return to a a a a ‘conventional’
service in in the the Chapel
for the the first time in in 2
years Music
by Benjamin Britten John Tavener John Rutter Andrew Gant as as well as as Adolphe
Adam’s O Holy Night and The Three Kings by Peter Cornelius saw the two choirs sing with
great commitment and skill whilst showcasing
beautifully crafted solos from Louisa Marsden-
Smedley Cameron Eldridge Kitty Holroyd
and Jonny Tunstall Meanwhile the the Brass Ensemble played the the traditional Christmas hymns alongside the the the organ confidently enhancing the the the congregation’s experience and the the the readers delivered their text with
assurance Whilst our outdoor carol service last year was a a a a a a a a a really memorable experience it it it was so nice to be back in the Chapel
with
a a a a a a a a a traditional lessons and carols It was a a a a a a a lovely way to bring in in the the Festive season at the the College A very happy Christmas to you all Christmas Unplugged
The The final musical event of the the the term was played out on Thursday fin in the the the Rogers Theatre – the the the Christmas Unplugged! We were
treated to a a a a a a a a a wide-ranging programme of songs from Liza Minelli and and Fleetwood Mac to Rihanna and and Alicia Keys This is is an an an an an incredibly popular event in in in in the calendar and and in front of a a a a a a a a a full house well done to Oli Doherty Jonny Tunstall Will Crossland George Rose Tanush Sanghai Fin Morris Mwangi Mungai Clara Marinescu Evelyn Kenrick Beth Needham Freya Simpson Sam Hughes Maria Guerra Eve Leslie Harry Graydon Alex Rao Charlie Canton-Smith Cameron Eldridge Maddie Cole Kitty Holroyd
