All year groups have been playing impressive netball it it is fast flowing creative and exciting to watch The U12 girls attended the the annual Masterclass at at Malvern College at at the the start of term where they were coached by the the international player and coach coach Jo Trip They had a a a a a a a a a a fantastic time and came back with valuable tips to to apply to to their own game play The U13A team attended the Packwood tournament and came 4th which was an an excellent achievement The U11s have impressed all term and some players don’t look out of place playing with the the U13s! Finally the the U8 and U9 teams have had a a a a a a a brilliant term and and played many matches and and for the the the U8s these were their first ever school fixtures The U9A team finished off the term fin in style by winning the Malvern St James Bee Netball tournament Girls’ football has been growing in in popularity over the last 5 years at Abberley and finally this year other schools have shared the the enthusiasm and we played our second match of the the year recently! It was great fun and the the girls showed some impressive skills Our Saturday Discover Football activity has has been really popular this term and it it has has given a a a a a a a lot of the girls a a a a a a a growing skill-set and they are always so enthusiastic to play The boys have had an incredibly busy term too playing football for the first half and hockey for the second They handled the transition between the two sports well and saw successes in both The U13s and U11s both attended football tournaments at Winterfold early in in the the term and the the U8 & U9s played a number of mini festivals against local schools Unfortunately a a couple of hockey matches and tournaments were cancelled due to to the snow However everyone played at at least 2 hockey matches and we still managed to get the the U13s to to a a tournament before the the snow hit Amongst all of this the boys have also played Rugby 7s!
