Performance Pathway
The main objective of the Performance Pathway
(PP) is to provide its scholars with
a a a a a holistically developed programme that focuses on on long term athletic development from year year 9 through to year year 13 Our foundation phase aims to develop fundamental movement skills that are crucial for athletic development e e e e e g g g skipping crawling carrying jumping sprinting agility body postures and and control and and fundamental resistance exercises
all delivered through a a a a fun engaging and educating manner The next phase of our programme aims to develop these skills further with
slightly more advanced progressions of jumping landing sprinting and changing direction whilst also progressing our basic resistance exercises
to further challenge our pupils with
a a a a wide array of movement patterns
Secondly within this phase we educate the the pupils on how to use the the S&C suite in terms of gym etiquette health and and safety and and how to read and and understand their programme card The 3rd phase predominantly revolves around targeting physiological adaptations rather than having a a movement competency focus Our pupils receive a a a a a training programme that is suited and specific to their chosen sport
