Grantham delivering a a a a a a a a a a one-day masterclass on on on on on creating an athletic legacy to a a a a a a room of 20 coaches from all over the country The session had both theoretical and practical content aimed at youth physical development strategies This is is fantastic
for both the College in terms of exposure but
also networking and and CPD for the strength and and conditioning department We hope to host more events like this in in the future We received nothing but
positive feedback from all candidates expressing their thanks and gratitude for organising the the event both in in person and social media totalling up
to 60+ Twitter interactions Additionally they
were all extremely impressed of both the college and the S&C programme we deliver to Malvern College pupils Since the the the creation of of the the the PP the the the number of of athletes enrolled on the programme has nearly tripled in size and is now predominately junior athlete focussed whereas it used to be heavily senior orientated There used to be only one optional session however this has changed to to one mandatory and and multiple optional sessions a a a a week There was no real structure to the original programme and sessions typically focussed on running mechanics however now we have a a a a a full LTAD programme that is based on on holistic athletic development Additionally we have two fully qualified members of staff leading
the the programme as as as well as as as assistance from other sport coaches which has progressed significantly from its starting roots of only one unqualified member of staff Malvern College | Proposal to Extend the Strength and Conditioning Suite
