Performance Pathway continued
The final phase is for when pupils reach the sixth form and the focus is completely individual to each each pupil and as such we try to provide each each sixth form pupil with at at least one more private session a a a a week generally 1-to-1 or in a a a a small group Their programmes are designed specifically for them and their their sport based on on their their movement restrictions competencies likes likes dislikes and and strength and and power levels Their progress is continually monitored through their programme cards and like phase 3 their programme is updated every half term to ensure continual development All athletes on on the the PP are tested termly on their anthropometrics power speed and and fitness levels which is tracked and and recorded through their entire time on the the pathway
PP pupils are more often than not respective scholars in their chosen sports as as well as as high achievers in in their academics and talented in in the the performing arts so as expected their weekly timetables are far busier than other students in the the school due to multiple commitments both in and out of school Therefore to ensure they
manage this busy timetable we offer mentoring for all FY remove and and hundred pupils and and try to best match the mentor and mentee by personality relationship etc We aim to meet all mentees once every half term for a a a a a catch-up session but
of course are always available via email or drop in Education is a a a a a a a a big part of the PP and as such we aim to provide our scholars and sporting pupils with the opportunity to learn from leading
experts in in the health and fitness industry We facilitate this by hosting 2 lectures every academic year focusing on a a a a a different aspect of strength and conditioning/sport science e e e e g g g nutrition recovery psychology coaching etc
