The Safeguarding Team
The aim of the Safeguarding Team is to promote pupil welfare, safety, health and well-being by creating an honest, open, caring and supportive environment in which pupils’ welfare is of paramount importance. The Safeguarding Office is located next to the Well-Being Room which is under the Chapel at the heart of the College. The Safeguarding Team meets regularly, and its work is closely guided by legislation and guidance; full details can be found in the Safeguarding Policy on the College website.
Mrs Emma Brown is the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). This means she has lead responsibility for the safeguarding
of pupils at the College, for ensuring staff are recruited and trained safely (working closely with the Director of Human Resources, Mrs Liz Zidani), and for monitoring the progress of any pupil needing additional safeguarding support or protection. Mrs Brown is also the Prevent Single Point of Contact and the Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Lead. Mrs Brown can be contacted on 01684 581609 or by email emma.brown@malverncollege.org.uk

Mrs Emily King is Head of Online Safety and
a Deputy Safeguarding Lead and her roles are currently being covered by other members of the Safeguarding Team whilst she is on
maternity leave.
