ACKNOWLEDGEMENT


               This report was prepared by the UNIDO SECIM Project team (Ulaanbaatar and Vienna) and
               distributed to Project Steering Committee members and all other relevant stakeholders. During
               2020  the  project  cooperated  closely  with  Ministry  of  Food,  Agriculture  and  Light  Industry
               (MoFALI), especially with Department of Light Industry Development Policy Implementation
               Coordination,  Department  of  Policy  Planning,  Department  of  Food  Industry  Policy
               Coordination and Division of International Cooperation.

               Special appreciation to former Minister of MoFALI Mr. Ulaan Chultem and new minister Mr.
               Mendsaikhan  Zagdjav  and  their  team,  Mongolian  Association  of  Leather  Industry  (MALI),
               Altain Uulsiin Orgil (AUO) cooperative, Khovd and Dundgobi Aimag Governments and their
               Department  of  Agriculture  and  Department  of  Veterinary  Service  for  the  successful
               organization of the project trainings in the field.

               Outstanding  professional  support  received  from  multi  stakeholders  including  trade
               associations,  academia,  herder  cooperatives  and  government  institutions  and  role  of  the
               sectoral  engineers,  including  Mr.  T.  Bayarsaikhan,  Mr.  S.Davaajav,  Mr.  M.Bat-Ochir,  Ms.
               D.Amarjargal, prof. G. Nadmid, Ms.G.Batchimeg, Mr. T.Altansukh and Mr. Ian Leach were
               exemplary.

               Global inputs of UNIDO’s international experts including Mr. Ivan Kral, Mr. Ali Badarneh, Mr.
               Viswanathan Munusamy, Mr. Ralph Arbeid, Mr. Linus Wu, Mr. Norbert Niedzwiedz, Mr. Ferenc
               Schmel, Mr. Issa Ali Beitouni, Mr. Karl Schebesta, Ms. Soha Atallah, Mr. Johannes Bergmair,
               Mr. Serguei Golovanov were eye opening and complementary to national expertise.

               Thanks  to  our  joint  efforts  through  public  and  private  partnerships,  shared  results  and
               extensive technology transfer including knowledge, skills and technology have been widely
               achieved.

               We appreciate the EU Delegation in Mongolia’s continuous support and active participation in
               the project interventions, which contributed positively to the visibility of the project in public.
               FAO’s support and regular SECiM C2 coordination was greatly valued.
