Continuing a Tradition of Excellence
Our students are entering our classrooms smart,
tech savvy, experienced in active learning, and
ready to advance their skills in solving complex
and contemporary problems. It is our instructional
vision that will provide the advanced academics
and hands-on skills that they need to connect
today’s classroom content to tomorrow’s work
force. Our goal is to be at the forefront of teaching
and learning. To reach that goal, we must adapt
to changing circumstances and opportunities. If
our fourth graders are building rocket cars already,
imagine what they will be doing in the future.
STUDENT-CENTERED, PROJECT-
BASED LEARNING INCLUDES ACTIVE
PARTICIPATION, COLLABORATION,
INNOVATION, AND CREATIVITY.
For example, Hudson Schools and Swagelok
Corporation formed a partnership so that our
students could learn more about the science
and engineering behind the United Kingdom’s
Bloodhound Project and its goal of breaking the
world’s land speed record.
