student to gain a global perspective, and to learn about their
own similarities and differences. Nearly 90 years old, the 1927 building is a significant
portion of the Middle School. The majority of
our buildings and additions were designed and
constructed between 1927-1970. The High School,
completed in 1992, and Ellsworth Hill, constructed
in 2007, are the newest facilities in our District.
However, the majority of our students attend school
in aging facilities.
The proposed Master Facility Plan addresses
the problem of aging buildings and provides an
opportunity to include flexible, student-centered
learning spaces in our classrooms that support
collaboration, creativity, and project-based learning.
