Level II – 8 hours
                                     Potentially, students can earn 14 hours toward an Automotive
                                     Technology Associate of Applied Science degree at Stark State College.

        Students develop practical experience in basic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills while becoming proficient in repair
        and maintenance of a car’s mechanical and electrical systems. Students may be required to purchase a tool kit to be
        used  during  the  course  and  upon  entry  into  the  job  market.  Completers  are  now  working  as  technicians  at  car
        dealerships, service centers and automotive specialty shops.  College credits available.  Dual Enrollment is available and
        potentially students can earn 14 hours towards an Automotive Technology Associate of Applied Science degree at Stark

        COURSE: Biotechnology Academy · STEM

        LENGTH: Two years

        CREDIT: Level I – Biochemistry of Health, 1; Biotechnology for Health and Disease, 1; Honors English 1; Honors
        Anatomy/Physiology, 1.
                       Level II – Genetics of Disease, 1; Biotechnology for Health and Disease II, 1; Honors    English, 1;
        Bioinformatics; Capstone, 1.

        Students in the Biotechnology Academy learn about biology on the molecular level by exploring various topics, including
        genetics, biological chemistry and biotechnology. Students will prepare for real world lab science careers, including
        clinical and microbiology lab technicians, as well as be prepared for a career in the medical field or science research.
        Level I students complete a detailed anatomy and physiology course, and Level II students will complete projects in
        bioinformatics, an emerging and multidisciplinary field. Level II also incorporates a required Capstone Project.  College

        COURSE: Business and Sports Management

        LENGTH: Two years

        CREDIT at Roosevelt:   Level I – Advanced/Honors or CP English, 1 (4.0); IA Business and Sports Foundations, 1 (5.0);
        IB Business Principles, 1 (5.0); Optional: Business and Sports Capstone 1 (4.0) or academic/elective course.
        Level II – Advanced/Honors or CP English, 1 (4.0); IIA Strategic Entrepreneurship, 1 (5.0); IIB Business and Sport
        Administrative Services, 1 (5.0); Optional:  Business and Sports Capstone, 1 (4.0) or academic/elective course.

        This Career-Technical Education Program develops skills and knowledge in the field of business, sports management and
        marketing, human resource management, facilities and operations management, sales, and public relations. Students
        will acquire knowledge of business processes, economics and business relationships, finance, and accounting.  Students
        will learn how to manage a workforce, lead change and build professional relationships with employees and customers.
        Students will utilize technology, software, and virtual simulations to prepare for careers in the business and sports
        management fields.  Worksite and facility visits to professional, collegiate, and recreational sports and management will
        be  integrated  into  the  program.  All  students  are  provided  opportunities  for  leadership  development  through  the
        Business  Professionals  of  America  national  student  organization.  College  credit  is  available  through  university
