Henry Jolson Pathways Program
MARTIN JONA – Henry Jolson Pathways Program Co-ordinator
Maccabi Victoria would like to take this opportunity to thank the
Jolson Family for their ongoing generous support. Since the
inception of the Henry Jolson Pathways Program, the funds
allocated have partly supported Martin Jona as Pathways
Co-ordinator and also subsidised programs held in schools
Despite the disruptions due to the COVID-19 lockdowns, we managed to deliver
many fantastic sports activities in 2021 for students from different schools:
- Netball and Basketball for Beth Rivkah College
- Golf for Bialik College
- Golf, Netball and Soccer for King David School
- Basketball and Soccer for Yavneh College
- Basketball and Futsal for Yeshivah College
Unfortunately, the programs scheduled for Sholem Aleichem College and Yesodei
Hatorah College were cancelled due to the pandemic.
A huge thanks to the Maccabi coaches for their commitment and commendable
work while running the sport programs: Aimee Klooger (Netball), Emily Szwider
(Basketball), Ashley King (Basketball) and Martin Jona (Futsal and Soccer). A
special thank you to the Maccabi Golf Club for arranging sessions at the
Melbourne Golf Academy.
We look forward to continue keeping the students healthy, happy and active
through the activities of the Maccabi Victoria Henry Jolson Pathways Program.
