Maccabi Australia - President’s Report Cont.
Member Protection and health of the organisation - our MPP program has
been refreshed and a new training platform established. We have taken the
opportunity to review and update all of our policies and ensure they are in line with
recent government changes in this area.
Leadership

Youth Development program that underpins the Carnival and the Future
Leadership which is linked to the Maccabiah and indeed Maccabi World Union
program. Early exploration has taken place for the development of E Games
The Year ahead
Fortunately, we have seen low level of restrictions in WA, and they have been able
to continue playing sport. Also, the government have provided support for the
development of a Maccabi Community centre. In NSW, we continue to engage
with the Hakoah development and are building programs to promote not only sport
but our Maccabi Life aspects.
Our major goal for the is to get 700 people on a plane to compete at the 2022
Maccabiah. This event will take place as the rest of the world is already opening
and Israel have put in place a good COVID plan. With the recent announcement
about International travel we remain hopeful and optimistic about sending a large
contingent
We will remain nimble as an organisation and have learnt to deal with what is in
front of us as pursue our goal of connecting the community through sport and
wellbeing
I thank Brian and the Macvic Board for their resilience and dedication over this
past year and look forward to working (as we have done in the past), in an aligned
and collegiate way.
Maccabi Australia along with Maccabi Victoria are always looking to the future to
ensure that our reach is pervasive and that the Brand continues to resonate.
With Maccabi Greetings
