Treasurer’s Report
JEREMY DAVIS - Treasurer
Financial Statements for the Year Ended 30 June 2021
I have tabled the financial statements for the 2021 financial year.
The financial statements reflect a net loss in trading activities for the 12 month
period to 30 June of $65,000 compared to a loss of $67,000 for the previous
reporting period to June 2020. Whilst the underlying result was broadly
unchanged, another Covid interrupted year saw both income and expenditure
significantly down from the previous period.
The organisation received income from various sources including sponsorship,
administrative fees and fundraising. The remainder of the income was from
interest and recovered costs for occupancy and club insurance.
We acknowledge and thank all our donors and sponsors for their support.
All Abilities Group, Henry Jolson Pathways Program and Women in Sport
Program
The financials for these programs are included in the Maccabi Victoria Financial
Statement. All programs are funded primarily through grants from the Maccabi
Sports Foundation, private donors and from Sport & Recreation Grant. We thank
the DHHS and the generous supporters who donate to the MVSF to make these
programs possible.
I would like to thank Hilton Miller and Nicky Postan of the LDB Group for their
services in relation to the audit of the financial statements.
I acknowledge the support of the administrative team from the office, in particular
the Finance Manager Ruth Clare and Executive Assistant Jo Star. Finally, I would
like to thank the Maccabi Victoria President, Brian Swersky. 2021 has been
another challenging time and his leadership and devotion to the organisation has
again seen Maccabi emerge in a sound and strong position.
