Maccabi Victoria - President’s Report cont.

We would not exist if not for the generosity of our major donors and the support
                  from the broader community.

                  Maccabi Aquatics:
Earlier this year I was proud to announce the establishment of a unique social
                  enterprise.

A joint venture was established with Bialik College to take over the operation of
“Learn to Swim” at the Bialik College Gringlas Sports Centre.
A full service swimming program was to have commenced on 4th October but due
to COVD restrictions has been postponed. The new opening date, at the time of
                  writing, will be November 8th.
The Maccabi Foundation provided the feasibility and seed funding for this venture
that will hopefully create an income stream for Maccabi and the Swimming club
                  well into the future.
I was proud to be part of the working group, but those that made it happen were
Mark Roseman, Clive Aarons, Barry Carp and Michael Carp.
Kate Beaconsfield and the Bialik Board have been a pleasure to work with and we
look forward to a long-term relationship of cooperation and sharing resources for
                  the benefit of our community.
                  Hall of Fame:
The committee, chaired by Mark Klapish, hoped to celebrate the event on October
19th. It has now been postponed to 8th March 2022 and Dylan Alcott has been
                  confirmed as the guest speaker.
Thank you for the hours of dedicated research and deliberation undertaken by our
two Committees. The investigation committee comprised of Professor Geoffrey
Sussman OAM JP, Janine Baum, Jack Chrapot and Sharon Roseman; and the
Selection Committee was chaired by Harry Procel OAM with Michael Aronson, Len
                  Bogatin and Denese Brick.

                  Henry Jolson Pathways Program:
Due to lack of competition our school programs have been scaled back this year,
however we remain engaged with the schools and look forward to commencing
again very soon. Our schools program is an important initiative to connect and
drive students to Maccabi clubs through the involvement of Maccabi coaches.
Thank you to Martin Jona for everything you do.
