Spring is in full swing – join us for a short hike through the wetland area at Milliken State Park to learn who calls wetlands home, and why they are so important for wildlife and for people. This is a hands-on program the whole family will enjoy!

SATURDAY, MAY 12 2:00 P.M. Graffiti Bike Ride
What do the Hygienic Dress League, Fell300ft, and Malt all have in common? You can find all of their murals just outside our front door on the Dequindre Cut. Join us for an urban bike ride through the Dequindre Cut, to celebrate National Bike Month, and learn the history behind the murals found throughout the trail. The total distance of this bike ride is three miles

SUNDAY, MAY 13 1:00 P.M. Birding on the Riverfront
Do you think birds aren’t in the city? Think again! First, we’ll learn the basics of birding, then practice some bird ID along the Detroit Riverfront and surrounding area. Mid-May is a great time to see migrant birds as well as those setting up nesting territories in our area. A limited number of binoculars and field guides will be available for loan.
Dress for the weather.
