Join us for a day full of beautiful and colorful things: butterflies! Learn why these insects are such great pollinators, make a fun craft, and even take home some “butterfly food.” Meet butterflies at many stages of development.

Warm spring weather calls for outdoor fun! Stop by the OAC to grab a list of our favorite local parks and playgrounds. Discover which parks have features you'd enjoy and plan a visit with your family!

Come celebrate turtles at the Outdoor Adventure Center! Do you know how many species of turtles call Michigan home? Stop by our turtle table to find out, and to learn even more about these remarkable reptiles!

SATURDAY, JUNE 2 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. National Trails Day
If you enjoy hiking, biking, paddling, birding, or nature photography there is a trail for you waiting to be explored. Grab your day-pack and join us at the Outdoor Adventure Center to celebrate National Trails Day. Learn about the many trail systems in Michigan and proper Leave No Trace practices to make sure you a good steward of nature. Join us for a guided hike at 3:00 p.m. through Milliken State Park during your visit.
