The Governor of South Kalimantan received an
award from the Indonesian Ministry of Social
Affairs (Kemensos) for efforts in enhancing the
capacity of disaster response volunteers (Tagana).
The award from the Ministry of Social Affairs was
presented directly by the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri
Rismaharini, during the 20th anniversary celebration
of the National Tagana and the National Elderly Day
(HLUN) 2024, held in North Aceh on Wednesday (May
29).
The award, as a form of appreciation for Paman Birin’s
significant care and support for Tagana in South
Kalimantan, was received by the Secretary of the
South Kalimantan Provincial Social Service, Murjani,
MPd. The Head of Disaster Management at the South
Kalimantan Provincial Social Service, H. Achmadi,
SSos, stated that the award received by Paman
Birin as the primary mentor for Tagana is the third
consecutive one.
