South Kalimantan Governor H. Sahbirin Noor or
Paman Birin concern for the arts, especially acting in
Banua, received appreciation from the Jakarta Arts
Institute (IKJ). At the IKJ Award 3 Year 2024 titled
Art for Life which was held at the Big Theater, Taman
Ismail Marzuki (TIM), Central Jakarta. Paman Birin
received the award which was handed over directly
by the Rector of IKJ, Dr. Indah Tjahjawulan. Governor
Paman Birin attended the IKJ 3 Year 2024 award
accompanied by Sandi Fitrian Noor, his eldest son
who is also a member of the House of Representatives
elected 2024-2029.
Paman Birin is deeply committed to the arts in Banua.
During the event, he expressed his honor at receiving
the IKJ award in the category for public officials. The
award ceremony was attended by several actors,
directors, and comedians, including Indro Warkop,
Prilly Latuconsina, Joko Anwar, and other artists. Also
present were the Chairman of the South Kalimantan
Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) Supian
HK, the Governor’s Expert Staff Rizal Akbar, and the
Chairman of the Indonesian Journalists Association
(PWI) of South Kalimantan, Zainal Helmie and others.
