From the Editor’s Desk

It gives me immense pleasure to warmly welcome you all to the second issue of in-house Journal of IILM
Graduate School of Management – Management Perspective. The aim of this journal is to provide a convincing
platform to the established researchers & the potential researchers for developing their research acumen &
adding value to the existing body of knowledge.

In this edition we have tried to keep up the expectations of the readers by including six research papers from
learned scholars, catering to the novel & innovative issues along with one case study & a book review. All
the manuscripts have been considered on the basis of their merit after following the rigorous process of double
blind review.

All manuscripts pertain to varied areas of business & management. The first paper on “Internet Based
Corporate Reporting in India” has showcased the utilization of web based facilities by internationally listed
Indian companies for communicating corporate information to their stakeholders.
The second paper on “Impact of Export Led Strategies on India’s Economic Growth in the Post Reform Era”
explores & analyses the relationship between economic Growth & exports. In this study an effort has also been
made to capture the effect of liberalization on exports.

The third paper on “Impact of Advertising on Brand Personality of FMCG products: Customer’s
Perspective” talks about the importance of advertising in creating brand perception & the results of the study
show the positive relationship between advertising & purchase decisions of the consumers.
The fourth paper on “Domestic Financial Market Integration in India” examines the integration between the
various segments of the Indian financial market - money market, credit market, government securities market,
capital market and the foreign exchange market. High co-movement of interest rates was observed between the
money market, G sec market and the credit market while Capital market was found to be least integrated with
others.

The fifth paper on “Venezuela under Special Focus Market Group: Analysis of Indian Trade and Export
Opportunities” explores the export-import journey of India vis a vis Venezuela in the past and at present. It also
illustrates the potential of strong trading relationship of India with Venezuela and other South American
countries.

The sixth paper on “Identification of Online Advertising categories and measuring its effect on Consumer Buying
Patterns” examines online users' perception towards online advertisements and how this perception affects the
brand of the website that hosts the online advertisement.

The case study on “Groupon Developing online Group buying – a case study approach” analyses the
concept of group buying in India which is a novel concept. It also shows how group buying can be used to
change the idea of e-retailing in India with the help of Grouponindia.com.

The last but not the least is a book review of the book “The Progress Principle authored by Teresa
Amabile and Steven Kramer by Harvard Business Review Press” which talks about the relationship
between employee performance & their inner work life. Inner Work Life, is defined as the confluence of
perceptions, emotions and motivations that individuals experience as they react to and make sense of the
events of their workday.

In the end, I would like to thank all the authors & editorial team members for their contribution to this academic
endeavor.
