Housekeeping Staffing Guidance









               What is It?



                   •  The labor requirements of a hotel based upon the level of
                       occupancy. In most hotels a room attendant will clean between

                       13-15 rooms per day in an eight (8) hour shift per person.  You will
                       need to determine what will work best for your hotel.




               Why is it Important?


                   •  Setting correct staffing levels at hotel will help ensure there is

                       enough labor to effectively and efficiently clean hotel without
                       overspending in this area.




               How Does It Impact Your Business?



                   •  If staffing levels are not correct a hotel may not have enough
                       labor to effectively conduct cleaning operation or if too many staff

                       are present it may lead to spending more on labor than necessary.
