Students, 16 and over, who commit serious offenses including theft, fights, and drug violations can be arrested and taken to jail. Those under 16 can be remanded to the juvenile court system. Failure to abide by instructions of an administrator or the SRO may result in the student's arrest. __________________________________________________________________
SMART LUNCH - (MAIN CAMPUS)
Students Maximizing Achievement with Resources and Time
What is it? A block of time when all students and staff on main campus are available to collaborate, remediate, and interact.
Why are we doing it? It provides time for students to get the remediation they need in order to be successful in their classes. They can use this time to get help, make up assignments, meet with their counselors, participate in extracurricular activities, and build stronger relationships with staff.
I. LOCATIONS FOR STUDENTS
Students ARE allowed in the main hallway outside the gym, locker bays, courtyard areas, basketball courts, and classrooms scheduled for remediation.
Students should not be hanging out in the stairwells - they need to keep moving to another location.
Students are NOT allowed at the middle/elementary schools, on athletic fields (unless participating in intramurals), in the weight
room or auditorium, on the tennis courts, in the hallways between and behind the gyms, or in the parking lot.
II. IDENTIFICATION
Students are required to present IDs to have access to SMART LUNCH activities. IDs must be accessible at all times.
