Adjunctive Supportive Measures
(When indicated)

• Disinfect or replace contaminated prosthetics, night guards,
or aligners.

• Implement saliva support: hydration, sugar-free lozenges,
or saliva substitutes.
• Consider post-treatment probiotic therapy to restore
microbial balance.
• Reinforce behavior modification: smoking cessation, stress
reduction, and improved glycemic control.

Step 4

Re-evaluation
(~4-6 Weeks Post-Therapy)

• Reassess mucosal condition, plaque control, and caries status.
• If available, repeat ImpetusDX Oral Health Panel to verify
microbial reduction.
• If resolved and asymptomatic → transition to Step 6
(Maintenance Phase).
• If persistent high levels or recurring symptoms → proceed
to Step 5.
