to an object in his mind and recognize the change, describe a thing or
object in the mind and change it in a tangible form.
Sorby (2009) states that spatial ability is one type of intelligence that
is difficult to understand if the object studied is not familiar with student
life. However, some research results show that students' spatial abilities
can be improved by using computers. The presence of computer
equipment in the learning process of mathematics, including geometry,
whose object of study is abstract has an important role. Computers provide
new ways for students and teachers to present complex concepts and can
manipulate abstract objects with their own hands. The use of computers
allows students to process information directly in the form of multimedia
so that it will trigger students to actively select, organize, and integrate
visual and verbal information (Simanjuntak, 2013).
Computers are products of sophisticated technology to make it easier
for humans in doing their jobs. Through the use of computers, work
becomes more effective, efficient, and has better measurement accuracy
than manually. The use of technology in learning mathematics is effective,
especially in learning geometry (Ludwig, 1996). In geometry mathematics
learning, there are application programs that can be used to overcome the
less accurate depiction of mathematical objects, complex calculations and
spend a lot of time, and monotonous learning media, one of which is by
using Cabri 3D software.
According to Accascina and Rogora (2006), Cabri 3D is dynamic-
geometry software that can be used to help students and teachers to
overcome some difficulties and make learning three-dimensional geometry
(geometry of space) easier and more interesting. Cabri 3D is a Dynamic
