                                            The sting of a Portuguese man o’ war is so painful
                                                  single jellyfish, it is actually a floating colony of many
                                               that the shock alone can kill. Although it looks like a
                                                     animals that make up the writhing mass of tentacles
                                                        hanging under the balloonlike float. Some of these
                                                            produce eggs, some carry stings and grab prey.
